Crafted with 14k gold and sterling silver, these hand-cut, one-of-a-kind studs embrace an unexpected harmony—rich blue shattuckite paired with warm orange jasper, joined by luminous gold kintsugi inlay. Fire and tide. Sunset and storm. Bold yet grounded, with a quiet, steady pulse of energy.

These earrings also draw inspiration from the Japanese art of kintsugi—the practice of repairing broken pottery with gold. Instead of hiding fractures, kintsugi highlights them, honoring an object’s history and transforming its imperfections into beauty. It’s a reminder that there is strength in repair, value in resilience, and grace in change.

"I create jewelry to honor the quiet beauty of uncommon stones — the ones with unusual patterns, growth lines, or unexpected color. Through lapidary work and intentional design, I shape them into pieces that hold emotion and invite connection. Each one is a small reminder that meaning lives in the details — and beauty doesn’t have to shout to be heard."

Karin creates to connect — with material, emotion, and story. Her work begins with character-rich stones: the ones with texture, color, or history that speak quietly but deeply. Through intentional design and lapidary craft, she transforms them into wearable art that invites meaning, sparks curiosity, and honors the beauty in imperfection.

Karin does it all by hand — from cutting each stone to shaping metal and composing every design. Her process blends color theory, lapidary techniques like inlay and kintsugi, and intuitive artistry. Each piece evolves slowly, led by emotion and detail. The result: jewelry that feels intentional, expressive, and deeply connected to the materials it comes from.

Karin began her creative path in painting before discovering a deep connection to jewelry and stone-cutting. After training at the Revere Academy in San Francisco, she shifted careers to build a practice rooted in craftsmanship, emotion, and storytelling. Today, she’s known for her lapidary expertise, bold use of color, and ability to turn quietly stunning stones into art.
