This sculptural hollow form ring rises like a starry skysape its architecture both modern and mystical. Crafted in sterling silver and 18k gold, the surfaces are richly textured and alive with contrast—the oxidized silver deepens the shadows while the gold gleams like starlight breaking through the night.

Ten 2.5mm champagne diamonds are set across its surface, their warm glow echoing constellations suspended in an urban sky. Each stone catches the light from a different angle, giving the illusion of movement—as if the stars themselves are shifting across the horizon.

"My current body of work is a marriage of elegance and the unexpected. The contemporary movement of the metalwork is in sharp contrast to the primitive elements of rough stones and enamels."

Evolution would be the best word to describe how Laura works. Her background is in illustration and painting. She has explored ceramic sculpture and was known for many years for the figurative jewelry incorporating porcelain sculpture with metal work. Laura's progression into enamel work seemed inevitable. She is always looking for new ways to express herself through her art.

Laura uses traditional metalsmith techniques including manipulating metal with hammers, fire, cutting, and soldering. Her experimentations with enamel and her love for rough stones and found objects keep Laura's work fresh and surprising.

Laura is mostly self-taught, however she attends a variety of workshops to expand her artistic vocabulary.
