Go Lightly

"I am a mostly self-taught clothing designer and seamstress whose love of handwork was born at a very early age. "

Designer Kiki Verveniotis launched Go Lightly in the early nineties in New York City, and it has since become a beloved go-to collection for women who appreciate spirited, ageless, trend-proof style as well as superfine workmanship. These are pieces to keep forever.

Kiki Verveniotis's first and most precious memories were of summer trips to her family's Greek island. While there, her aunts taught her to do needlework, as every young girl spent years building a collection of handworked linens and decorations intended for their own homes after they married. Today, the designer works out of her little house by the water in East Norwalk Harbor, Connecticut, where she sews every piece herself.

One Size is close to a size 16

In my estimation, this One size fits all seems pretty close to a size 16. Because of the style I think it can look good on different body types but you would have to imagine if that size would look good on your size body. I plan on wearing it either as a blouse or as a jacket. It seems to be a good quality linen but I have not worn or cleaned it yet.

Versatile and vogue

Like the versatility of this item; can wear as a blouse or jacket and I really like the fabric. As I am a larger woman, however, I wish the sleeves were slightly wider to accommodate my fuller upper arms.

Nice unassuming yet classy shirt

I think I will order another shirt like this in a different color. It is so comfortable, soft and light weight linen. I live in the southwest so can wear this shirt year round. I will probably button it all the way up in the winter. I haven't tried it yet but it might make a good jacket shirt. I did wear this shirt with my black Crop Linen Ecole Pant. Looked so great, got lots of compliments. The 2 pieces together has a sort of Asian influence.
