Jewelry designer Erica Zap has been surrounded by art and craft all of her life. Her parents owned an international handcraft shop that sold artwork collected from their extensive travels around the world. This early exposure to exotic art and culture has greatly influenced her work.

Each of Zap's designs starts with brass shapes and forms that are electroplated in a variety of metals. These elements are then combined with carved and cast toggles or magnetic clasps.

Erica Zap graduated from SUNY New Paltz with a BFA in gold- and silversmithing.

The Everything Necklace

Love this mesh necklace because it goes with everything in my closet. It can be worn with jeans and any top or a dress from casual to dressy and provides a finished look to any outfit. I bought the 17" necklace and this length works great with any type of neckline. Thank you Erica for your design and work in creating this necklace
