This abstract mixed-media work evokes the tropical colors found in mountains and lush valleys. Painted first in acrylic shades of blue, red, green, and metallic gold, artist Christina Pritula then cut and pieced the canvas back together using bamboo cords, resulting in an organic, one-of-a-kind work of art. Protected by UV varnish, it's signed on the back and ready to hang.

Tidal Art Design
"My desire is to share with you works of beauty and meaning that embody my fascination with the sea, and the unlimited potential it represents. I've always been mesmerized by the ocean, particularly the rainbow spectrum of colors reflecting off its surface. Deep and mysterious, the sea symbolizes all that we hope for in life—rebirth, regeneration, endless possibility."

Christina Pritula creates emotive, abstract works that embody the reflections of the sea, mirroring our human connection to its mysterious depths.

Her line of artwork, constructed of acrylic on unstretched canvas and hand-woven together with bamboo cord, embodies the unique bridge between her background in fine art and textile design that informs her work.

Trained in fine art, graphic and textile design, she completed her studies at Otis College of Art and Design. After working in graphic design for several years, Pritula has returned to a more tactile method of expressing art. "I decided to go back to what made me love doing art in the first place: working with my hands."
