Melinda Buie
Buie Studio
She is deeply passionate about beauty in all its forms, whether it be the gentle curve of a cow’s hoof or the expressive gaze of a dog. Her work is an invitation to connect with the familiar—elements that resonate with everyday life.
She utilizes oil, acrylics, and oil pastels, working primarily from her photographs.
Encouraged by her parents, Melinda began painting at a very early age. After graduating The University of Texas at Austin, she moved to NYC and opened a studio while also working for the Whitney Museum, Gluckman Mayner Architects, and the Gottlieb Foundation; all played a pivotal role in her growth as an artist. She has shown nationally and internationally and has gallery representation.
