Artist Delphine Pontvieux's equestrian necklaces display a variety of bit shapes and reveal a deep knowledge of the equestrian world. This rubber and steel necklace features a variation of the popular "snaffle bit" shape: the Pelham horse bit, widely favored by polo players all around the world. The bit is crafted from stainless steel that won't oxidize, scratch, or tarnish; it hangs from a 4mm black rubber leather cord with a 1" extender and a lobster clasp closure. Perfect for the horse lover in your life.

NYET Jewelry
"My wish is that you will love wearing your NYET Jewelry as much as I enjoyed making it for you."

Never mind our generation has come to grips with the fact that pretty much everything we consume is mass produced. Delphine begs to differ that there is a spot to be filled to cater to discerning people who are still looking for something truly unique. Every piece of jewelry is designed and handmade to order in her Chicago workshop with love, patience, and the individual attention they deserve, with carefully selected materials and hardware that are made to last.

Delphine was born and raised in France until she moved to Chicago in 1998. A genuine artist, she is also the published author of a thriller titled “ETA-Estimated Time of Arrest” and has appeared in movies such as “LOL-Laughing Out Loud” with Demi Moore, “Sinister 2” and various TV series such as “Empire.” She is also a painter whose pieces are being exhibited in art galleries.

NYET Jewelry was officially born in September of 2012, when Pontvieux launched her very first jewelry collection, which featured distinctive, bold necklaces and bracelets made of leather and metal, with an equestrian flair. Pontvieux’s signature choker was commissioned by the organizers of the Beach Polo World Cup 2013 to be given as a trophy ceremony gift to all the female pro players who participated in the tournament. She registered NYET Jewelry as a proper business in 2015, as she continued to hone her leatherwork skills. She also studied metalsmithing to learn the basics of bezel setting stones. As of 2023, she started to work with natural rubber, and released her first collection using this medium, titled: caoutchouc (rubber in French), which has been received with great enthusiasm.
