"I create contemporary jewelry inspired by vintage silks and artisan textiles from around the globe. Drawing on my background as a costume designer, I transform rare kimono and sari silks, handcrafted batiks and indigo cloth into one-of-a-kind creations that are a joy to wear. My designs celebrate extraordinary textiles while bringing artistry to everyday style."
Isabelle crafts jewelry from beautiful textiles sourced from around the world. Working with vintage and artisan fabrics connects her work to history, culture and time-honored craft. By re-imagining rare and hand-made textiles as contemporary adornment, Isabelle gives them renewed life – highlighting and honoring their character through artful design.
With a foundation in costume design, Isabelle approaches jewelry with a sculptural sensibility. Using hand stitching, origami-inspired folding and subtle internal structures, she shapes silks, batiks and rare textiles into dimensional forms that showcase their beauty and texture. Vintage beads and leather accents add contrast, while her intuitive color sense creates joyful, eye-catching pieces.
Trained in costume design and immersed in the world of theater and dance, Isabelle brings a sense of drama, movement and storytelling to her work. A lifelong fascination with textiles inspires her, while her love of travel adds to her extraordinary collection of global fabrics. In her designs, once destined for the stage, vibrant colors and textures dance together as wearable creations.
