Hand-fabricated champleve enamel and cast oxidized sterling silver pendant with brush and pumice texture. The enamel is inlaid and fired several times in a kiln, building up multiple fine layers to achieve a rich coloration in the 6 small windows panes.

Low maintenance, clean with toothpaste and brush under running water.

Sterling silver snake chain with lobster clasp closure.

Jewelry designer Carly Wright has worked with stone, both as inspiration for her organic, contemporary jewelry, and also as a stone mason. The ancient layers and crevasses of sedimentary rock provide endless inspiration and impart serenity to her work, as does the laying of stone upon stone to form an architecture in the landscape.

Wright uses the enameling technique of champleve, firing fine granules of glass into recessed areas that are created with layers of sterling silver. Each piece is fired from 3 to 30 times in a kiln and ground smooth. The sterling silver is oxidized and steel brushed. Her enamel surfaces are etched to a soft matte finish.

She received a B.F.A. degree from Empire State College and continued with additional studies focused on the art of enameling at the Penland School of Crafts.

Better than advertised

Items usually never look as good in real life. Not on that one, it looks better when you hold it in your hands. The real test will be if my girlfriend likes it but I am not worried. So unique and special that I am pretty sure I will buy more items from Carly in the future.

Wonderful necklace! .

I'm always skeptical about ordering on line..but this necklace I did not disappoint! It's beautiful . Our graphic artist daughter is retiring after 33 years of work. She loves nature, and has enjoyed workIng by a window all those years. At home, she loves looking out the windows to watch deer and wildlife.
She will love it!
