Carol Windsor has developed a technique of laminating oxidized sterling silver wire between layers of very thin acid-free paper. The oxidized wire shows through the translucent paper like veins in a leaf or petal. The connecting 'twigs' are textured, oxidized, then dimpled with a burr to suggest the spot where a branch has broken off. When worn, the pieces softly rustle, almost like leaves. Windsor's intent is that the organic materials, forms, and auditory elements will suggest the fragility of life and the preciousness of the moment.

Statement piece

These are stunning. They are on the long side so be aware these are made to be seen and a wow factor. In love them. I'd like them in multiple colors.

Wonderful and clever!

These are my favorite earrings. I have them in different sizes and colors. They are made from paper! which means they have no weight at all. They move gently and their construction is sturdy. I've had some for 5+ years (it's about time I wrote a review!) and the color on the petals is as fresh as when new.
They are fun and elegant and carefree. Recently I have been ordering the single petals for birthday presents. Everyone is delighted!
