You're the first to get it—and it will ship as soon as it's ready.

A study in dramatic contrasts, this ring features a single slender and sleek luminous Biwa pearl nestled within the angular walls of a deeply oxidized sterling silver box setting. The pearl is held in place by a riveted silver wire and both the box and band are accented with Heather Guidero's signature carved texture. In addition, the ring wears beautifully on its own or stacks well with others due to the platform style setting. Whole and half sizes 5–11; available with horizontally or vertically set pearl.

Heather Guidero

"The geometric elements of my designs create a spare elegance of form and function."

Heather Guidero's jewelry consists of a series of simple geometric shapes. She works with these shapes to explore volume, movement, and pattern. The use of thin sheet metal allows her to incorporate these shapes into larger forms that are lightweight, yet have a presence of their own on the body. Each piece as it is worn produces sound—the gentle noise of metal rings and discs sliding and clinking as the wearer goes about her daily routine. In this way, each piece is transformed into a personal, interactive sculpture.

Guidero's collection combines hand-fabrication with sterling silver, 22K yellow gold and sterling bimetal. Hand-applied matte finishes in combination with burnished edges serve to accentuate the graphic nature of the designs. These materials and techniques also allow the geometry of each piece to exist first and foremost. Every piece is constructed and finished by hand in her studio.
