David Urso Jewelry
"I love the feeling of walking through museums and finding the diamonds in the rough. Bits of ancient history. The way in which man creates an object of beauty from countless elements, precious and not."

David Urso's work has always been inspird by the classic beauty and golden richness of antiquity. The crafatsmanship of a Greek coin, the majesty of a roman sword, chunks of turquoise set into a glittering egyptian collar, all handmade, colorful, timeless.

This jewelry collection has been developed by using clear resin inlaid with a combination of materials not limited too but including ground pigment, crushed herbs, and spices, wood and metal shavings, and crushed gemstones. Metalwork is handconstructed and individually inlaid to give each piece its own unique quality, never two exactly alike.

David began his jewelry making career when he was 15 years old taking lessons after school with a local silversmith. He later received a BFA in gold and silversmithing from SUNY New Paltz. After apprenticing with several different jewelry houses he started his own design company and has continued to market the collection to galleries and boutique stores countrywide.
