Pierre Bowring

Bow Glassworks
"I create everyday glass that is meant to be used! My inspiration comes from my background as a painter, and my mother is also an abstract painter."

Bowring crafts his glass to be functional art. Color is the most important part of his process, which makes any situation happier and brighter.

He uses colored and clear glass to create his work. There is no paint involved—only glass.

Bowring started blowing glass in college and worked for Anthony Corradetti in Baltimore for a few years, as well as for other professional glass blowers. He recently opened up a studio at his house, so he can make all of his glass pieces at home and still have time for his family, especially his daughter.
