Early in Spring, before trees have leafed out, the woodland floor is covered with wildflowers. Near the river a path winds through mounds left by the root systems of massive trees. Legend says this trail has been walked for thousands of years. In Spring, the marsh marigolds cover the woods like a carpet of yellow. Beautifully reproduced from a meticulous painting, this giclee landscape is printed on heavyweight archival paper with light-fast inks. Limited edition of 150 inclusive of all sizes. Signed and numbered on the bottom.

Wynn Yarrow

"Painting for me is an unfolding of the soul."

Wynn Yarrow's landscapes are metaphors for the inner life. Clouds, though ephemeral, yield tremendous power. They represent the possibility of swift transformation. Night is a veiled realm, one that relies on memory, insight and imagination.

Wynn works in gouache (opaque watercolor) and matte acrylic mixed with a medium prepared by hand.

Trained in architecture, Wynn worked briefly in the design professions and then pursued fine art as a lifelong career. Wynn's continuing studies have been at Penland School of Crafts, NC, Pyramid Atlantic Art Center, MD, Johnson Museum of Art, Cornell University, NY and John C. Campbell Folk School, NC.
