Ige Design
"When creativity comes from the heart, it will always be distinctive. If not, it becomes a reproduction of others. I believe my work comes from the heart. "

Raised in the 1970s, with MGM Studios only a few blocks away from her home, Helene Ige was charmed by occasional glimpses of Hollywood glamour. Mentored by watching her mother make her outfits, she was convinced that she had her own personal couturier. She later realized that it was her mother's talent, not magic, that created her clothes, and that she needed to discover her own artistry.

Since the launch of her design business, Ige has been able to design in an array of materials utilizing technology and handcrafting. Her velvet luxe pillows are hand silk screened, foiled, then sewn together by herself and her mother. Together, they make a great team.

Ige's personal journey began in New York, where she studied product design at Parsons School of Design and worked in the fashion industry to remain close to her love of fashion. After five years, she returned home to Los Angeles, where she merged her design education and professional fashion career in 2001 with the launch of Ige Design.
