Dante Germain

Dante Germain Glass
"Over time, I discovered that glass is a beautiful medium to represent water, allowing me to capture a moment in time like a sculptural photograph."

Germain’s work reflects a clean and organic aesthetic exploring the connection between sculptural and functional design. His conceptual art highlights the beauty of water while being framed by industrialization. Being heavily influenced by the pioneer of high-speed photography, Harold Edgerton, his sculptural snapshots are intended to stop the world around you even if it is just for a moment.

The artist crafts each vessel or sculpture by hand utilizing ancient glass techniques with modern design.

Germain Began blowing glass at the University of Wisconsin in River Falls in 2014. Since then, Dante has worked out of numerous glass blowing studios across the United States and Europe.
