Randi Chervitz's grandmother first taught her to knit when she was a little girl, igniting within her a passion for beautiful things to wear. When she started her jewelry line in 1991, she knew that she would crochet precious metal to make her designs. The lacy crocheted silver reminded her of the artistry and joy of those early knitting lessons—but crochet in silver was only the beginning.
Today, inspired by the endless possibilities of forms in space, Chervitz creates jewelry that explores the traditions of adornment and revels in pattern and line. She fabricates each piece using traditional metalsmithing techniques such as sawing, filing, and soldering.
Chervitz earned a BFA from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, in 1991, and an MS in Fashion Business and Entrepreneurship in 2019. She is also an Accredited Jewelry Professional from the Gemological Institute of America.
