Nicholas Kekic is a third-generation glassmaker. His grandfather was an industrial glassmaker and his father was a founder of the American studio art glass movement. Within this family environment, Kekic's appreciation for handmade objects and the process of their creation was nurtured.

Kekic's designs capture the fluidity of glass and its unique relationship with light. Like his father and grandfather before him, he is most satisfied by making glass pieces that are beautiful and useful.

It's stunning. It's even better than the photograph suggests. It will make a lovely housewarming gift for my daughter and family. I am so glad I discovered Artful Home as a result of my search for the perfect gift for them.

The bowl is exactly what I expected and very beautiful. I have been gently disappointed with a few pieces I've bought lately, but not this one. Classically beautiful.

Exquisite but not what I expected

I have been looking at this bowl online and in the print catalogs for years and finally ordered it last month. The workmanship is excellent and the glass has a translucence in the sunlight that is just lovely and, well, amazing. However, though the name of the item is "Pale Blue Bowl', the bowl I received is not the pale blue mentioned in the name and the item description or the icy blue shown in the photographs. It is teal. It's pretty, but it is most definitely not pale blue. Also, the 'Blue Lip' is a navy blue vs. the royal blue I expected; and the navy is just OK with the teal--to my taste, anyway. Overall, the bowl is a beautiful thing and I hope I fall in love with it as I have wanted it for such a long time.
