"I create glass that adds to the pleasure of the drink."

Tom Stoenner has always believed that objects made by hand offer a shared experience between the maker and the user. "A simple object can forge connections," he says. The artist has concentrated on functional work for more than a quarter of a century. If it is suitable for everyday use, so much the better. If it displaces a machine-made item in the owner's cabinet, it is a success.

Using techniques borrowed from both production glassmaking and the studio art glass movement, Stoenner creates drinkware that incorporates random patterning and uniform shapes and sizes. Every piece is similar, but different.

These have added to my everyday pleasure. Lovely, classy without being precious. I love the small size and use them multiple times a day.

Love, Love, Love them

The glass are surprisingly lightweight. Beautiful. Love that no two are exactly the same. They
don't look like they hold 16 oz, but they do.

Comfortable to hold and just unique enough!

Love these glasses. We needed an update and these were fun. Simple but with just a bit of uniqueness. Feel great in the hand.

Big is relative

I like these glasses. They are colourful and useful. They aren't as heavy as I'm use to using, but they will work just fine. Big, however, is relative. To me, they aren't large 16 0z glasses, that is, unless you fill them all the way up to the tippy top. If you do, you'll have 16 oz as advertised. My french heavy duty water glasses that are probably 30 years old, are hefty in weight, won't crack if they tip over and easily carry 16 oz with some space (2 oz) left over so you don't spill the 16 oz. They won't work for those tall Texas Ice teas, but for a glass of water at a meal, they'll be real nice. Practically speaking, they are for 12-14 oz beverages. However, they are very artful which is a big plus in my book.
