Inspired by the work of Joan Miro, this chandelier is a mobile of lights, textures, and shapes. The perforations in the ceramic shades project line-shaped light textures on the wall, creating a unique lighting effect reminiscent of a camera obscura.

Standard screw base socket. UL listed. Includes one 11" shade, two 9" shades, and one 7.5" shade. Each boomerang is 22"L. Height is adjustable from 36"-70", to be set on installation.

lightexture
"A lamp extends beyond the object that it is—it projects light onto the space around it. It creates the atmosphere of the space it is in, making it feel warm, intricate, and welcoming."

Lightexture is a design collaborative between an architect and a lighting designer creating unique lamps. Yael and Avner have been collaborating to create a robust collection of fixtures that are both playful and sensual. Each brings a different set of skills and sensibilities to the stage, which makes the lights a conversation through work.

Lightexture treats light as a material that can create an atmosphere and open up new ways of experiencing space. They emphasize light quality and textures as much as they consider the sculptural qualities of the light fixture. lightexture fabricate all of their products themselves with utmost care and craftsmanship, using handmade techniques together with cutting edge digital technologies, creating lights that are adjustable, efficient and above all beautiful and inspiring.

Yael is a licensed architect; she received her BArch at the Cooper Union school of Architecture and completed her graduate studies focusing on light at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). She has been teaching architecture since 2004 and has taught at the Harvard GSD, the Cooper Union, Columbia University, and Pratt Institute. She is currently an Assistant Professor at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). Avner has been a lighting designer for film and television and has been designing and fabricating lamps since 2008 at lightexture.
