This is an image of an exotic dahlia captured with a professional digital camera. The print was made on Epson Exhibition Fiber paper, which is smooth and produces a highly detailed and saturated image. It was printed on a professional Epson printer with archival pigment inks which will not fade for over 100 years. It is titled, numbered, signed, and dated below the image in archival pen. It is from an edition of 250 plus two artist's proofs. A certificate of authenticity signed by the artist is provided.

Russ Martin

"I followed in the footsteps of giants, but when theirs ended, I continued on my own."

Russ Martin photographs subjects from both the urban and natural environments. His pictures reveal an uncanny ability to depict subjects in ways that surprise or inspire the viewer. He hopes they stimulate the observer to a new appreciation of the subjects in front of the lens and of the medium of photography as a form of creative expression.

Russ Martin employs professional digital cameras. However, as a photographer classically trained in the style of Ansel Adams, he first honed his craft using large format film cameras, an enlarger, and chemicals in a darkroom. As a result, he has developed a perfectionist approach that is evident in his new work, which is printed on fine art papers using archival pigment inks and a professional Epson printer.

Russ Martin is a second-generation photographer from the small town of Clinton in upstate New York. He received both a Bachelor's and an MFA degree in photography from the State University of New York. After earning his degrees, he pursued his own projects and teaching, while interacting with well-known photographers and gallery professionals from around the country.
