On each of these stacking rings, a richly hand-textured oval of solid 18k yellow gold is soldered to a 2mm sterling silver band with a micro-hammered finish. These versatile, solidly constructed rings are beautiful worn singly or stacked together.

Because each lichen oval is handmade, they will vary slightly in size and texture, but will be similar to the rings pictured. Each oval is approximately 8.5-9.5mm long and 5-5.5mm wide.

Sold in a set of three as shown.

Renee Ford Metals
"I handcraft modern jewelry that embodies fine jewelry techniques in delightful designs focusing on delicate details, boldly juxtaposed metals, colorful gemstones, and contrasting textures. "

With a background in painting and drawing, Renee Ford creates jewelry with a painterly approach. She strives to create detailed layers of texture, contrasting metal colors, and patterned compositions. She develops her designs while exploring influences that range from the art movements of Impressionism and Expressionism to the microscopic worlds of the ocean and the forest floor.

Each piece is fabricated or carved by hand from wax that is cast in Ford's studio. Colorful gemstones are carefully curated to create limited-edition and one-of-a-kind pieces. Classic goldsmithing techniques are used to create hand-fabricated settings, the framework that holds the special gemstones. Each gold element is hand forged and formed before being carefully soldered.

Renee Ford was completing her painting and drawing degree when she discovered the world of metalsmithing. She went on to study metals in graduate school, focusing on figurative hollow-ware. Her adventurous nature brought her to the Pacific Northwest, where she opened a fine jewelry store. Continued training in classic bench skills brought her to the Nashville area, where she resides with her family.
