Leonie Lacouette started designing clocks more than two decades ago. It all began when she needed a clock for her studio. On a lark, she created a clock for herself and four more for a show. They sold immediately, and she has been making clocks ever since.
Using a basic language of geometric shapes and clean lines, Lacouette creates layered compositions that are both functional time pieces and beautiful kinetic sculptures. Her work combines minimalist design, a warm, organic palette, and a hint of playfulness. She uses a wide variety of materials; some, such as stainless steel and brass, are used in their raw state, while others, such as copper and wood, are painted and patinated by hand for a warmer feel.

We had a specific need for a specific space over a large kitchen window, where we wanted a clock that could be seen from three rooms: the kitchen, great room and the dining room. This clock is perfect and is a work of art! We LOVE it!
We had a specific location where we needed a clock that would be visible from the kitchen, dining room and Great Room. Our kitchen cabinets are stained cherry red-ish. This clock by Leonie Lacouette is perfect. High quality, color we expected, keeps accurate time, looks artisan (because it is), blends exactly with our kitchen cabinets and dining room art. So pleased our interior designer introduced us to this website and artist.
I was so anxious to receive this clock - and it's everything I had hoped for. The clock is sizable so I recommend measuring your area for hanging. It is really a piece of functional artwork. I just received the clock today and promptly hung it up - and appears to work perfectly and looks beautiful. The clock is signed by the artist and packaging includes great instructions for care and use. Use the gloves to hang - as recommended. I am now a loyal fan of Leonie Lacouette and her beautiful clocks - I hope to find room for another one!!
We have a total of 5 of these clocks between our home and my office. Each one is beautiful and a work of art. Our oldest clock is about 8 years old and have never had any problems mechanically.
