This foliage pattern, both whimsical and sophisticated, will add an elegant touch to any room. The metallic pigment prints add new dimension to the lustrous velvets. This design began in O'Brien's sketchbook, was printed on silk velvet, then hand-painted in small batches by artisans in Philadelphia. Dye is applied by hand in layers on the velvet fiber surface. Variations in color are part of the nature of the unique dyeing process.

In his previous work as a painter, Kevin O'Brien aimed to add beauty to the world and meaning to his own life—so it seemed natural for him to make the transition from traditional painting to textiles. He got his start in the luxury fashion world twenty years ago selling hand-painted scarves. Today, his line includes handmade decorative pillows and more.

The handmade nature of the pieces created by Kevin O'Brien Studio results in a quality that can't be matched by mass-produced items. O'Brien's artwork is given three-dimensional life through unique hand-painted fabric, resulting in beautiful pieces that can elevate any interior.

Kevin began what would become Kevin O'Brien Studio over twenty years ago alone in a drafty old barn. As his business has grown, he has developed a great knack for hiring talented artists and designers. The KOB team consists of a diverse group of strong-minded, creative people, most of whom completed their college educations at surrounding art schools in the Philadelphia area.

You cannot buy a pillow that is more beautiful than these willow pillows. They come in a variety of sizes and colors that are all rich, sumptuous, and add depth and beauty to any room or piece of furniture. They are well-made and keep their shape over time. So soft yet substantial. The seams are perfectly executed, as are the zippers. I waited for years to get these pillows, thinking they were too expensive. But the money I wasted on other pillows in the interim that did not hold up and were not nearly as beautiful would have been better spent on an earlier purchase of these gorgeous, gorgeous pillows..

The most beautiful pillow I've ever owned

I bought two of the jade colored, metallic, willow design pillows. Hollywood Regency Glamor has been an inspiration to how I am decorating my living room. When I happened upon this particular pillow, I new I found another element to help further complete my Regency vision. I am beyond thrilled with the color and the velvet texture. My favorite thing about the pillow is the delicacy of the metallic print. They are gorgeous and a wonderful addition that sit perched on my couch.
