This abstract triptych suggests rocks and shells in a fluid, watery space, or can be seen as a whimsical abstract work with a sandy texture under the paint. It is connected in the photo, but can be spaced apart and will ship as three 2'x 3' panels for less expense. The hardware to reattach them if desired will be included.

Yates Arts
"These paintings are based on a theme that has been recurrent in my work for many years: they suggest forms moving through various atmospheres."

Stephen Yates creates paintings in which the layered brushstrokes describe a sense of light moving through vibrant seas, or a space in which simple shapes drift in a color-suffused atmosphere.

Forms sway in underwater currents or undulate with wind across landscapes or flicker with reflected light as they dart through darkness. A sense of prismatic color, energy, movement, and passage of time inhabit his paintings.

Intentionally non-specific in terms of recognizable images, Stephen Yates' paintings create a specific sense of place and experience.
