Woden was founded in 2013 by Carsten Holm, a shoemaker with a long history in the industry, who knew that nature and Scandinavian design tradition combined with high quality at an affordable price would be the right starting point for creating fashionable footwear. It is this focus on using responsible materials and quality that defines Woden's concept of Scandinavian Simplicity.
With respect for the environment and surroundings, Woden works with a responsible approach: REDUCE. REUSE. RECYCLE. They always strive to push the boundaries of how shoes can be constructed with a focus on giving their products a greener footprint. That's why they've extensively replaced synthetic materials in favor of fishing leathers like Woden DNA, include a minimum of 10% recycled rubber in their outsoles, and eco-friendly cork soles inside all shoes.
