This is not a ring you simply wear, it's a ring that wears you, transforming your hand into a canvas of color, magic, and masterful craftsmanship.

At the heart of this one-of-a-kind treasure, a cloisonné blue evil eye keeps eternal watch, your personal guardian against negativity and envy. But sharing the spotlight is a show-stopping boulder opal that seems to hold an entire sky within its depths. Flashes of green, azure, and cobalt blue dance across the stone in mesmerizing striped patterns—each angle revealing new secrets, new colors, new stories.

The triangular setting  in oxidized sterling silver, creates dramatic shadows and depth, while a shiny sterling silver three-dimensional frame rises around the border like architectural sculpture. Crowning the eye above are three luminous 14-karat gold beads, a regal touch that catches light and adds warmth to the cool silver tones. This ring is a size 8.

"My current body of work is a marriage of elegance and the unexpected. The contemporary movement of the metalwork is in sharp contrast to the primitive elements of rough stones and enamels."

Evolution would be the best word to describe how Laura works. Her background is in illustration and painting. She has explored ceramic sculpture and was known for many years for the figurative jewelry incorporating porcelain sculpture with metal work. Laura's progression into enamel work seemed inevitable. She is always looking for new ways to express herself through her art.

Laura uses traditional metalsmith techniques including manipulating metal with hammers, fire, cutting, and soldering. Her experimentations with enamel and her love for rough stones and found objects keep Laura's work fresh and surprising.

Laura is mostly self-taught, however she attends a variety of workshops to expand her artistic vocabulary.
