Jodi Rae Designs
"I create jewelry for women with many sides and moods...from quietly romantic, to fiercely bold and sexy, to subtly edgy. My jewelry is made to adorn women who want to be noticed."

Edge and contrast are hallmarks of Jodi Rae Brownstein's jewelry designs. She prefers the atypical and likes to mix her techniques and designs, even within a single piece.

Brownstein honed her skills and learned additional advanced techniques studying with an international faculty of jewelry makers in Florence, Italy. She mastered granulation and mokume gane, stamping, chasing, forging, and stone setting. She uses metals such as sterling silver, bimetal, and 18K and 22K gold, often fusing them to semiprecious stones. These combinations give her work its strong contrast in shape, texture, and colors.

Inspiration for her bracelets, earrings, rings, and pendants comes from many sources. But rather than actively seeking it, Brownstein prefers to wait and let it come to her. Everyday travels and images spark her creativity—the fine detail of an antique door knocker, a leaf on the sidewalk. They all contribute to her ultimate designs.
