This die-formed, roll printed pendant was inspired by artist Barbara Bayne's former home in Massachusetts, where the columbine plant grows freely. Made of oxidized silver with 18k gold accents and fine piercings that echo the subtle patterns on the metal, it hangs from a cable chain with a 4" extender and closes with a lobster clasp.

All of Barbara Bayne's jewelry is made by hand. Each piece begins as a sheet of sterling silver or 18K gold. Her first step is texturing the surface of the metal. The pieces are then die formed in steel dies, many of which she makes herself.

Her workspace is in the woods—a good place for her to gather inspiration.
