"I love the process of designing and fabricating jewelry. I am intrigued by all types of jewelry ornamentation. Texture, color, and form are all important aspects of my work. I find my every day surroundings are an endless supply of inspiration. I have started researching and using rare materials such as old turquoise. It provides endless history and intrigue which I find very exciting ! "

Beth started making jewelry as a teenager. She has always loved all forms of jewelry design and exploring new techniques. She is constantly designing and making new pieces. That is what she finds exciting and never tires from making new work. Designing new jewelry and the technical challenges it presents keeps making jewelry exciting and refreshing . There is always a constant learning curve.

Beth hand fabricates her jewelry from recycled sterling silver, 18 and 22k gold. Textures are created from roller printing found objects and fusing 22k gold onto silver. Various hammers are used to create three dimensional forms. One piece could be soldered hundreds of times. The work is very labor intensive. The jewelry is oxidized and hand polished or heated treated to a white silver finish.

Beth graduated from Boston University from the Program In Artisanry in metals with a BFA in 1982. After graduating she worked as a designer and jeweler for a retail and wholesale company for two years. This experience led Beth to design her own jewelry line in 1985 to present day. She has taken many workshops from leading experts in her field and she also taught jewelry at the Decordova Museum.
