Emily Shaffer Studio
"My focus is to create jewelry that is clean, modern, and versatile. "

Studio jeweler Emily Shaffer's work is made to be functional and to complement the wearer's own individuality. Using silver and enamel, she seeks compositions of line and negative space. Limiting her color palette allows her to emphasize the linear qualities in her work. Shaffer's interest in contemporary jewelry fuels her desire to create work that is both finely crafted and stylishly minimal.

Shaffer's work is hand fabricated using traditional metalsmithing techniques. She primarily uses Argentium silver (which will not tarnish as quickly) and vitreous white enamel.

Shaffer received a BFA in craft (fine metals) and a BS in art education from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. She interned with a professional studio jeweler and a large jewelry production company, experiences that taught her how to make a living from her craft.
